When people ask me why I joined Renovation Church I simply tell them it is because “I just felt like that is where I belong!” Being a part of a church plant is such an incredible experience, and a scary one as I didn’t have any friends joining with me. I have had to rely entirely on God and the peace and comfort that He provides.
I am the Family Ministry Intern at Renovation Church. Which is absolutely awesome because I am not only receiving hands on experience, but I am also receiving an education at the same time while I attend Cape Fear Community College. I enjoy every aspect of what I do, from working with children in Camp Renovate on Sunday mornings to teaching Middle Schoolers on Wednesdays at R*Squad.
There is so much more the being an intern that Sunday morning and Wednesday night, however. I spend the days that I am not in school planning, programing, and coordinating for Sundays and Wednesdays. Along with studying and researching how to be effective in ministry. I also help the lead team with projects they have, which I think is absolutely awesome!
When I am not in school or working I love to read books and play video games. Some of my favorite authors are Ted Dekker, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and J. R. R. Tolkien. I also love having conversations about Jesus with people and lead a small college age small group of guys every Monday night.
